Job Overview:
My client is looking for a reliable and physically capable Van Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering furniture to customers across the region, as well as assembling items on-site to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a 3.5-ton van to deliver beds and bedroom furniture to customer homes
- Load and unload vans safely and efficiently
- Assemble furniture on-site to a professional standard
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and installation
- Carry out basic safety checks on vehicles and report issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
- Assist with picking and packing orders as required
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery or furniture delivery/assembly (preferred)
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Basic DIY or assembly skills and use of hand tools
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
- Flexibility with working hours as needed
