An experienced Tool Room Manager is required to join a world-leading aluminium extrusion company. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage the operations of the die shop. Your responsibilities as Tool Room Manager will include supervising the production, maintenance and repair of dies, while ensuring efficiency, quality and safety standards are met. Additionally, you will play an active role in the development of your direct reporting Die Shop team.

Successful candidates for the role of Tool Room Manager will have extensive experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, strong leadership abilities, technical expertise and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. Offered as a permanent contract with competitive salary and extensive benefits, the position of Tool Room Manager is available with immediate start.

Duties/responsibilities of Tool Room Manager include:

  • Plan, coordinate and monitor all activities within the die shop, including die design, correction, repair and maintenance
  • Optimise die quality and design to achieve high productivity, minimise scrap, reduce die stops and ensure die turnaround aligns with business needs
  • Manage relationships with die suppliers, identifying the best-fit die technology for each product
  • Follow up on press alignment measurements and specific precision tooling requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
