We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our expanding, dynamic field team as an Area Manager to cover the Manchester, Liverpool and Stoke areas of the UK, ideally based in Manchester. This is a permanent position that is ideally suited to someone with a managerial background, ideally with 2+ years of experience in a multi-site retail business.

Starting salary of - £34,000

Job Overview

Maximising sales performance across all brands and leading a team of field Visual Merchandisers. To act as an ambassador for Smallworld Accessories Ltd.

Key Responsibilities/ Results areas:

  • Maximising Sales Performance across All Brands
  • Secure the best trading position for our department in each store.
  • Ensure a quick response from the team to merchandising deliveries.
  • Analyse sales performance effectively and plan itineraries accordingly.
  • Ensure information on key sales drivers is used to maximum effect.

Managing a Team of Field Merchandisers

  • Visit stores regularly to monitor the field merchandiser's performance.
  • Manage a team of Senior Visual Merchandisers.
  • Ensure field merchandisers have actioned directives as instructed.
  • Support field merchandisers in developing constructive business relationships with store managers and their teams.
  • Ensure field merchandisers are aware of team goals and focused on the priorities.
  • Ensure journeys are planned economically, and expenses are controlled.
  • Promote a positive attitude.

Recruitment and Training

  • Interview candidates for selection.
  • Coach and develop the team.
  • Motivate the team and foster a sense of team spirit.
  • Identify training needs.
  • Ensure the team are presenting an image that is congruent with Company policy.
