Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure first‐class sales support by providing a professional sales order process and customer consultancy. The Sales Support Adviser is the link between customers, regional sales managers and the internal organisation, ensuring timely delivery and providing product information and pricing during the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Complete proper and timely order processing from receipt to invoicing, and prepare dispatch in cooperation with freight forwarders and external logistics providers.
  • Advise and support customers by phone and email.
  • Determine customer needs through proactive communication.
  • Create and follow up on quotations, offering alternative solutions.
  • Accurately manage data in the ERP system.
  • Track delivery dates in cooperation with planning and purchasing departments.
  • Obtain freight cost quotations and verify freight invoices.
  • Create special export documents.
  • Process letters of credit with the finance department.
  • Manage complaints and process returns, including preparation of credit requests.
  • Monitor credit limits and incoming payments with Credit Control.
  • Maintain customer master data in the ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Some years' experience in customer service, order processing or inside sales.
  • Very good knowledge of an ERP system, preferably IFS.
  • Very good knowledge of a CRM system (e.g., "Salesforce").
  • Comprehensive PC know‐how (MS Office).
  • Fluent English speaking and writing.
  • Customer‐oriented thinking and acting.
  • Independent, self‐reliant work style.
  • Ability to understand and process complex business processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good manners and ability to work in a team.
  • High degree of flexibility, commitment, and resilience.
  • Absolute reliability.
