SLX is a B Corp production and technical solution provider to the live events, TV & broadcast, sports and performing sectors. With over 40 years of experience, the Company is known for its technical expertise and innovative events.

The primary focus of this role is to maintain the data within EasyJob, our business system. To ensure that all asset codes are created, maintained correctly and stock levels for all assets across the company are kept accurate at all times. You will continue to challenge EasyJob, how we use it to the best of its capabilities and functions across the business. When we find new features, you will explore how they are used, create SOPs and then be part of the team that implements the change.

Key responsibilities

  • Inventory management: Full responsibility for the accuracy of the asset data within EJ, correcting errors and building on the data that is already there.
  • Responsible for creating new equipment codes in line with our current coding system.
  • Raising Purchase Orders for new hire stock.
  • Responsible for onboarding new equipment onto our business systems: both Easy Job and QC.
  • Ensuring all details are recorded accurately and the correct QC testing procedures are set up for that equipment.
  • Support the Warehouse Supervisors to produce and develop new and improved prep procedures.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve stock anomalies causing system issues.
  • Assist with investigation into error reports and complete relevant actions.
  • Assisting with statistics and timelines to move stock on and join asset team meetings.
  • Supply the Dry Hire Manager with any information and photographs required to help sell ex-hire stock.
  • Manage our Ebay account.
  • Be a strategic partner in assisting to deliver company stock checks.
  • Systems: Assist with warehouse system maintenance.
  • Be a technical advisor to system users.
  • Investigate and test new Easy Job functionality and report those findings to the Operations Director and the wider team.
  • Work with system users to identify and investigate potential system bugs or errors, reporting to the business systems supervisor.
  • Highlight relevant issues and suggest improvements to warehouse management team and business systems supervisor, identifying best practice.
  • Chair quarterly Warehouse Improvement Committee.
  • Responsible for ensuring we have a full set of accurate procedures and training guides for all Easy job functions and tasks.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required by your Line Manager.

Skills, knowledge & experience

  • Have an excellent knowledge of technical equipment in the entertainment industry.
  • Be used to working on multiple projects and prioritising activities to meet business needs.
  • Be a 'Completer Finisher' and see ALL tasks through to the end.
  • Be a competent user of standard software packages such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, confident working with people from all levels of the business.
  • Be an excellent problem solver.
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated.
  • Have excellent planning and time management skills.
