Job summary
You are calm under pressure and understand customer deadlines. You can work on multiple projects at the same time and have a background in a creative role working across all disciplines including live experiences, digital, experiential events and live events. You are commercially aware and understand the impact on budget of design concepts. You will spend much of your time sharing your ideas with customers in our Bristol office.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining SLX’s brand identity, conducting brand audits, developments (where/when necessary).
- Continually developing the SLX brand to remain relevant and stay up to date with industry advancements.
- Design and create copy for sales material, tenders, proposals and decks.
- Design and creation of event specific collateral for tenders (example, producing directional signage and mock‑up designs).
- Design company e-brands, case studies, PDFs, reports.
- Designing and writing copy for all internal communications, including presentation decks for Town Halls etc.
- Scoping and planning videography and photography for company use.
- Designing newsletters both internal and external.
- Creation of content for the colleague screens.
- Building a monthly content plan for social media, website and press.
- The main marketing contact for SLX.
- Identify opportunities to grow business by driving relevant and distinctive content to increase our brand awareness.
- Work with heads of departments to develop a monthly content plan.
- Interpreting a brief to create high quality 2D and 3D visuals to be used as part of the sales cycle.
- Effectively translate ideas and concepts into rough copy mood boards and eventually design.
- Creating artwork to be used by third‑party print suppliers.
- Creation of “in‑event” content and show material.
- Providing first level proofing and pre‑press checking.
- Develop and maintain a photo library.
- Design support material for marketing campaigns and adverts.
- Design and create graphics for use through our web and social media presence.
- Keep up to date with the latest design trends, noting any sector specific information or design.
- Maintain the SLX website.
- Liaising with external marketing, PR agencies.
Skills, knowledge & experience
- Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D design software particularly Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, animation software, PowerPoint and Keynote.
- Previous experience of active media, advertising and web design.
- Experience in creating proposals and tenders would be advantageous.
- Commercially aware.
- Excellent multi‑tasking ability and attention to detail.
