About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Team Leader to lead kitchen operations at Slug & Lettuce. You will shape our kitchen operations, maintain high standards, and support and develop the kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Support, coach, and mentor the kitchen team.
- Maintain high standards of food knowledge and skill.
- Apply up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, and legal knowledge.
- Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive and welcoming manner.
- Lead, guide, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring access to ongoing training and growth opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety, creating a safe and organised workspace.
- Manage the kitchen schedule to ensure efficient staffing while meeting labour targets.
- Conduct regular stock checks to manage costs and meet performance goals.
- Proactively increase sales and drive growth by fostering strong relationships between kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.
