This exciting opportunity is focused on developing next-generation iPSC-derived cell therapies to address challenges faced by current approaches. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the characterization and culture of iPSCs, helping to advance novel technologies in human therapeutics. The technology employed enables the development of stable, adaptable, and programmable gene silencing, distinguishing it from traditional gene-editing approaches. This innovation aims to overcome current limitations in cell therapies by engineering allogeneic approaches that are activated in response to specific environmental cues, both intracellular and extracellular. The technology is complemented by computational and screening platforms to target preferred genetic modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute complex research programs in the area of cell biology and iPSC-derived therapeutics.
- Develop, optimize, and perform flow cytometry assays for cell characterization.
- Design, develop, and conduct FACS (Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting) experiments.
- Apply in vitro assays for immune cell biology profiling.
- Develop and optimize methods for the differentiation and culture of iPSCs.
- Mentor junior lab members and guide them in experimental techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field and explore new technologies to improve methodologies.
