An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Motorcycle Technician or Trainer to join a leading automotive apprenticeship provider. This role involves delivering high-quality training and assessment to motorcycle apprentices, helping develop the next generation of skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical motorcycle maintenance, diagnosis and repair training in both classroom and workshop environments.
  • Assess learner competence and provide regular progress feedback.
  • Prepare training materials, workshops and learning resources.
  • Support apprentice welfare, safeguarding and individual learning needs.
  • Maintain training equipment, tools and vehicles to a high standard.
  • Deliver virtual training sessions when required.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, employers and stakeholders to support apprentice success.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Strong technical knowledge of motorcycle diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage learner behaviour and adapt training to different learning styles.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Previous apprenticeship training or assessing experience.
  • Assessor and teaching qualifications (training can be provided).
  • Experience within a manufacturer or franchised dealer environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and British Values.
