An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Motorcycle Technician or Trainer to join a leading automotive apprenticeship provider. This role involves delivering high-quality training and assessment to motorcycle apprentices, helping develop the next generation of skilled technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver theoretical and practical motorcycle maintenance, diagnosis and repair training in both classroom and workshop environments.
- Assess learner competence and provide regular progress feedback.
- Prepare training materials, workshops and learning resources.
- Support apprentice welfare, safeguarding and individual learning needs.
- Maintain training equipment, tools and vehicles to a high standard.
- Deliver virtual training sessions when required.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, employers and stakeholders to support apprentice success.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Strong technical knowledge of motorcycle diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to manage learner behaviour and adapt training to different learning styles.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable:
- Previous apprenticeship training or assessing experience.
- Assessor and teaching qualifications (training can be provided).
- Experience within a manufacturer or franchised dealer environment.
- Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and British Values.
