The predicted salary is between 31650 - 43607 £ per year.
4 days a week (29 hours). Includes working until 6:30pm on a Monday. Term-time only considered. We are seeking a passionate and proactive Functional Skills Trainer. In this role, you will plan and deliver tailored training to support learners’ development in English, Maths, and Digital Skills from Entry Level to Level 2 (and GCSE where applicable). Your teaching will include 1:1 coaching, workplace sessions, and in-house training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and personalised training sessions using ICT and active learning methods.
- Support learners' progress in English, Maths, and Digital Skills through diagnostics, target-setting, and individual learning plans.
- Manage a caseload of learners to ensure achievement, progression, and retention targets are met.
- Liaise with employers, assessors, and other trainers to maintain motivation and learner support.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and assessment in both digital and paper formats.
- Develop innovative lesson plans, group activities, and support materials.
- Administer and oversee online registration, assessments, and exam procedures.
Requirements
- Experience delivering Functional Skills (Entry Level to L2), ideally with knowledge of GCSE delivery.
- Strong organisational, communication, and ICT skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of assessment, quality processes, and awarding body standards.
