About the Role:

Lead one‑to‑one coaching for apprentices across Software Development, Data Analysis, and AI-focused programmes. You’ll help learners apply AI tools, automation, and data-driven approaches to real workplace projects, aligning with apprenticeship standards and employer objectives. The role blends technical teaching, progress monitoring, and employer collaboration to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach apprentices through structured programmes, building knowledge, skills, and professional behaviour.
  • Guide project-based learning: coding, data analysis, visualisation, AI adoption, automation, and modern digital workflow.
  • Provide targeted teaching in Python, APIs, data prep/analysis, dashboards, and low/no‑code tools.
  • Conduct progress reviews, professional discussions, formative assessments, and portfolio alignment to End-Point Assessment.
  • Track progress in an e-portfolio (e.g., OneFile), action plan, and identify/resolve risks early.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of digital/technical apprenticeship standards (Software Dev, Data, AI).
  • Hands-on experience applying AI, software dev practices (version control, testing), and data analytics in business contexts.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for mixed audiences and ask challenging, growth-driving questions.
  • Familiarity with AI adoption, governance, ethics, and change in SMEs/enterprises.
  • Understanding of Ofsted expectations and the Apprenticeship Accountability Framework.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, organisation, and time management.
  • Experience with coaching/mentoring/teaching/assessing apprentices.
