Due to continued growth, we are seeking a CAD Technician to join our established Transport & Mobility Planning team , delivering high-quality transport and highways drawings and plans for projects across the UK.
Based in our Cardiff office, with scope for hybrid working , the role will focus primarily on producing transport-related drawings using industry-standard CAD software , with additional exposure to site measurements, data collection and multi-disciplinary project support , as well as a small amount of other cross-sector work spanning planning, infrastructure and built-environment projects.
The Role
- Producing high-quality plans, drawings, diagrams and data outputs for planning applications, public consultation and public inquiry.
- Ensuring all outputs comply with SLR CAD drawing standards , while developing your understanding of relevant design standards.
- Undertaking on-site measurements and data collection to inform design work.
- Supporting Transport Planning teams by preparing plans using a range of CAD and design software (Auto CAD, Map 3D, Key SIGNS, Key LINES, GIS, Adobe Illustrator, Vehicle Tracking).
- Maintaining continuous professional development , including attending training as required.
- Complying with operational requirements and maintaining accurate records.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Transport Planning, Infrastructure, Environmental and Built Environment teams, with opportunities for involvement in a wide range of UK projects.
