An exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager has arisen within Food manufacturing. My client is an innovative and successful Food FMCG company who are currently looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join their team in the York / Hull area. The Technical Manager will lead the Technical and Hygiene teams and ensure product safety, quality, legality, and quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain and site operation.
Responsibilities for the Technical Manager:
- Responsible for site food safety and quality, systems policies, procedures and equipment. Leading audits, complaints and generally being the onsite Food safety and quality go to.
- Principal responsibility for ensuring that the site’s technical and Hygiene systems meet (and exceed, where applicable) the requirements of each respective customer, as well as ensuring compliance with all legislative and industry guidelines and regulations.
- Support and proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Auditing equipment on site for safety and food safety purposes.
- Ensuring strict adherence to food safety culture and hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and adhered to.
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification in science or food technology (or equivalent experience).
- Level 3-4 HACCP.
- Experience in site technical management.
