We are pleased to be offering another great opportunity to work in the leading Mineral Processing Testing Facility in Europe. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team in a laboratory-based role. This is a 6 month fixed term contract and involves alternating shifts - one week 06:30-14:30, the second week 11:30-19:30.

The position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills while supporting the wider metallurgical team in delivering high‐quality testing and analysis. Please note that the lab location is not easily accessible by public transport and therefore the commute needs to be seriously considered when applying.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing samples for testing in accordance with laboratory requirements.
  • Following written procedures and standard operating instructions.
  • Undertaking basic standardised tests independently.
  • Providing support and assistance to metallurgical staff as required.
  • Carrying out general laboratory duties.
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning laboratory equipment as appropriate.
  • Working safely at all times and adhering to company Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and COSHH regulations.

  • A safe, responsible attitude when working in laboratory environments.

  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
