The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) is the largest and most respected industry initiative for responsible supply chains in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries. PSCI is a non-profit, member-led, organisation registered in the US. SLR has provided Secretariat to PSCI since 2015.
We are now looking for a Coordinator to join this team, with a focus on our supplier community and member-led topic teams.
Our work focuses on improving practices at manufacturing sites supplying the industry (drug production) and spans five comprehensive topic areas: – human rights, the environment, health & safety, ethics and management systems.Activities are organised across three impact pillars: creating efficiencies and transparency through audit sharing, enabling suppliers to improve their practices, and carrying out collaborative impact projects.With over 80 companies in membership and relationships with thousands of suppliers, PSCI sets the standard for the industry.
The role is full time, based from our London office for a minimum of one day per week, although some flexibility may be offered, if needed.

The role
- Manage and grow the PSCI’s Supplier Partnership, maintaining relationships with this committed group of pharmaceutical suppliers and developing them into an engaged and impactful group working towards the PSCI mission
- Facilitate and support PSCI’s 7 member-led topic teams, each of which meet monthly
- Support PSCI’s administration, feeding into overall project finance and accounting, and managing the budget and finances for Supplier Partners
- Support PSCI’s communications, including regular newsletters, social media posting, assets such as slide decks, and maintaining the online web platform
- Support member meetings and conferences as needed, especially on sessions relating to the work of the topic teams or to the supplier community
- Contribute to learning and development amongst the supplier community on sustainability topics.
Depending on the successful candidate’s experience and capabilities, it may be possible to take a key role in the following aspects of PSCI’s activities:
- Learning and development: With the right capabilities, the candidate could substantially contribute to PSCI’s program of capability-building for suppliers, including course design and training delivery
- Events management: PSCI delivers several member events and conferences across the year, in a mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid formats
About you
We are looking for an adaptable and reliable team player with fantastic organisational and problem solving skills, previous experience with diverse stakeholder management, and administrative experience including meeting and event management.
- Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal
- Able to cope with detail whilst keeping focus on the bigger picture
- Professional and able to flex style to different situations and stakeholders
- Experience or education relevant to the PSCI topic areas; and/or experience working with the Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare or Chemicals industries would be desirable but not essential
- Financial administration such as navigating payment platforms and processing invoices
- MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
