SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people‑first culture. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Civil Engineer to join our established Civil & Structural Engineering team, delivering high‑profile renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects. Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, the role will focus primarily on onshore wind, with additional exposure to solar and BESS developments, as well as a small amount of other civil engineering work spanning infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Role

  • Supporting project delivery and developing design solutions
  • Assisting with client management and proposal development
  • Preparing planning designs and supporting documentation under senior guidance
  • Leading elements of projects and contributing to team delivery
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers
  • Desk‑based work alongside site visits across the UK and Ireland

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering along with Global Advisory, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for European and international exposure.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Solid experience delivering UK civil engineering projects, ideally within renewables
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards
  • Experience with Civil3D and AutoCAD (desirable)
  • Technical reporting and problem‑solving skills
  • A driving licence that permits you to legally drive in the UK is required for site visits
