Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our established Land Quality and Remediation team, delivering high profile geo-environmental and ground investigation projects.

Based in Leeds, the role will focus primarily on designing and managing ground investigations, risk assessments and remediation strategies, with additional exposure to geotechnical and geological assessments, as well as a small amount of other land quality work spanning renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Role

You’ll lead the delivery of geo-environmental projects from initial assessment through to remediation and validation, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes:

  • Project and technical leadership
  • Client management and proposal support, including fee preparation
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced consultants
  • Desk-based work alongside site supervision and monitoring across the UK

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering along with Global Advisory, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for wider UK and international exposure.

You’ll bring

  • Substantial experience delivering UK geo-environmental projects
  • A BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline (MSc advantageous)
  • Project management and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation, planning guidance and industry standards (including BS5930)
  • Experience designing, supervising and managing site investigations and land contamination assessments (soil, groundwater, ground gas, DQRA)
  • Experience contributing to remediation strategies, specifications and validation reports
  • Strong technical reporting, interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body
  • A full UK driving licence for site work
