SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people-first culture. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our established Civil & Structural Engineering team. Acting as either a project manager or lead designer, you will deliver high profile renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects. Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, the role will focus primarily on onshore wind, with additional exposure to solar and BESS developments, as well as a small amount of other civil engineering work spanning infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects from planning through to detailed design, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Project and technical leadership.
  • Client management and proposal development.
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers.
  • Desk based work alongside site visits across the UK and Ireland.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering along with Global Advisory, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for European and international exposure.

About You

  • Advanced experience delivering UK civil engineering projects, ideally within renewables.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
  • Experience with Civil3D and AutoCAD (desirable).
  • Strong technical reporting and problem solving skills.
  • A driving licence that permits you to legally drive in the UK is required for site visits.
