We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join a laboratory-based role in a leading Mineral Processing Testing Facility in Europe. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with alternating shifts: one week 06:30–14:30, the next week 11:30–19:30. The position offers the opportunity to develop practical skills while supporting the wider metallurgical team in delivering high-quality testing and analysis. Note: the lab location is not easily accessible by public transport and the commute should be considered when applying.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing samples for testing in accordance with laboratory requirements.
  • Following written procedures and standard operating instructions.
  • Undertaking basic standardised tests independently.
  • Providing support and assistance to metallurgical staff as required.
  • Carrying out general laboratory duties.
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning laboratory equipment as appropriate.
  • Working safely at all times and adhering to company Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and COSHH regulations.
