Join our growing Sustainable Waste Management team as a consultant early in your career to offer practical advice on waste and resource management to a variety of clients, including local authorities, waste producers, the waste management industry, regulators and investors.

Client & Technical Service Offerings

  • Waste strategy, options appraisal and plan development
  • Service reviews and infrastructure assessments
  • Circularity and sustainability studies
  • Waste logistics assessments
  • Public sector waste support (e.g., procurement)
  • Private sector waste company support (e.g., bid development)
  • Financial sector advice (e.g., investment due diligence)
  • Support for construction companies and waste technology providers

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, collate data, and perform data processing and modelling for a wide range of projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Support the Sustainable Waste Management team in proposal development for multiple clients.
  • Research best practice and innovation in the waste and resource management sector.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support on projects to meet client and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Environmental Science or similar) and experience in the workplace, ideally within a waste management setting.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel functions.
  • Knowledge and interest in sustainable waste and resource management practices.
  • Effective communication and research skills.
