SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen within a collaborative, people‑first culture. Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Air Quality Consultant for our established UK Air Quality team. The role will focus on air quality assessment and dispersion modelling with additional exposure to odour assessment, industrial emissions work and multi‑sector project delivery.

The Role

  • Project and technical leadership – delivering air quality assessments using dispersion modelling tools for road traffic and industrial sources.
  • Client management and proposal support – liaising with clients, supporting bids, preparing technical reports and contributing to business development.
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced consultants – supporting team capability and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
  • Desk‑based work alongside site visits across the UK and Ireland – including data collection, site reviews and engagement with regulators.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering, along with Global Advisory, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for European and international exposure.

About You

  • Air Quality Consultancy experience, ideally across multiple sectors.
  • Technical capability to undertake traffic emissions dispersion modelling (e.g. ADMS Roads, LAQM tools, verification, relevant guidance and policy).
  • Experience of odour assessment and industrial emissions (desirable).
  • Experience liaising with clients, regulators and other consultants.
  • Strong technical reporting and problem‑solving skills.
  • A full driving licence valid in the UK.
