SLR have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with demonstrable consultancy experience of S278 in a general infrastructure background to join our collaborative and growing Transport Engineering team.
Your key duties will involve:
- The preparation of detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports on a variety of projects.
- Taking responsibility for project management, budgeting, producing bill of quantities, and costings.
- Providing assurance that scheme designs comply with specification and agreed programme.
- Ensuring designs comply with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.
- Assessing designs for environmental impacts.
- Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties.
- Coordinating with other team members associated with the design.
- Supporting junior team members working on projects.
About you: We are looking for an Engineer with consulting experience around the design and management of the Section 278/38 process, as well as:
- Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
- Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
- Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Competence in the use of Civils 3D.
