Operating across the UK, the team supports projects ranging from individual residential developments to large‑scale infrastructure and EIA schemes, delivering high‑quality advice across the planning lifecycle. With offices across the UK and flexible hybrid working, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, high‑profile projects across sectors including the built environment, regeneration and renewable energy.

Responsibilities

  • Leading heritage input on projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery
  • Preparing high‑quality technical reports (heritage statements, impact assessments and EIA chapters)
  • Providing strategic advice to clients, architects and internal teams
  • Managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships
  • Supporting business development, including proposals and networking
  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues

Qualifications

  • Clear experience delivering UK heritage consultancy projects
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation relating to heritage
  • Ability to assess heritage significance and impacts of development
  • Experience preparing technical reports and advising stakeholders
  • Experience in project management and commercial awareness
  • Membership of CIfA (Associate or working towards full membership)
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) and full UK driving licence
  • Desirable: Full MCIfA and/or membership of IHBC
  • Desirable: Experience in built heritage projects such as listed buildings or conservation planning
