Responsibilities
- Preparing samples for testing in accordance with laboratory requirements.
- Following written procedures and standard operating instructions.
- Undertaking basic standardised tests independently.
- Providing support and assistance to metallurgical staff as required.
- Carrying out general laboratory duties.
- Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning laboratory equipment as appropriate.
- Working safely at all times and adhering to company Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and COSHH regulations.
Qualifications
- Grade 4 (C) in English, Maths and a science.
- A genuine interest in science and laboratory work.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to further learning.
- Desirable: driving licence and own transport.
