We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner based in Birmingham to lead client and project management, and commercial development. You will manage and deliver a portfolio of complex projects, from site identification and planning applications through to monitoring and discharge of conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare transport statements, assessments, travel plans and supporting documentation.
  • Provide consultancy advice to clients and co‑consultants, explaining technical matters to decision‑makers and laypeople.
  • Support senior staff and develop project management and work‑winning skills.
  • Lead, mentor and grow the Birmingham team while fostering a safe and healthy workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of national, regional and local transport policies.
  • Clear understanding of the legal framework, regulations and guidance for sustainable transport solutions.
  • Proficiency in transport and traffic modelling and related analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Experience of conducting consultation exercises and presenting detailed proposals to a range of stakeholders.
