Pay Level: 7 £41,873 – 47,238 fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Observatory House / Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the development, review, consultation and implementation of approximately 70 housing policies that underpin our landlord services.
  • Ensure policies are legally compliant, evidence‑based, accessible and aligned with current legislation, statutory guidance and the Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards.
  • Provide expert policy advice, undertake legislative research and translate complex requirements into practical, high‑quality policies that support safe, effective and resident‑focused services.
  • Manage the full policy lifecycle, from research and drafting through consultation, governance approval and implementation.
  • Produce policy documents, committee reports, briefings and consultation materials, while maintaining oversight of policy reviews, approvals and action plans.
  • Work with tenants, leaseholders and resident groups to ensure resident voice is at the heart of policy development, promoting transparency, equality, accessibility and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen governance, improve consistency and support regulatory readiness, helping to ensure our Housing Service delivers high‑quality outcomes for residents.
