Part time 2.5 days/18.5 hours per week. The Slough Children in our Care service Thrive 0-15 team are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Worker, on a part time basis, who wants to make a real difference to the lives of our children. You’ll receive exceptional management support, flexible working, bespoke training opportunities and a chance to do things differently. Roles & Responsibilities
- Our Children in our Care Thrive 0-15 team works with children from 0 to 15 years of age whose care plan is to achieve permanency via adoption or long‑term care.
- As a Social Worker in the Thrive 0-15 Team you will develop good relationships with children and young people and have a positive impact on their lives.
- You will have an allocation of children and young people with whom you care plan, safeguard and support to achieve their best potential.
- You will also have the opportunity of working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and be supported to develop your skills and knowledge in completing age assessments.
- We actively listen to the child’s voice and promote children and young people’s choices, safety and fulfilment.
Qualifications & Experience
For this role, you’ll need to be a Social Work England registered social worker with a professional social work qualification, or equivalent, and have demonstrable experience of working within a busy service.
Work Arrangement
We work on a hybrid basis, with a requirement for employees to be based in the office as well as working from home.
