A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Kinship Team Manager within our IFA service. As our Kinship Team Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team undertaking the recruitment, assessment and support of Special Guardians, as well as Home from Home carers and providing training to all carers. You’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality assessments meets the deadlines required, and carers are appropriately supported. You’ll be working with the team to continually develop and improve the quality and efficiency of these assessments. You’ll also provide line management to the Contact Service Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a dedicated team undertaking the recruitment, assessment and support of Special Guardians, Home from Home carers and provide training to all carers.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality assessments meets required deadlines and provide appropriate support to carers.
  • Work with the team to continually develop and improve the quality and efficiency of assessments.
  • Provide line management to the Contact Service Manager.

Qualifications

  • SWE registered Social Worker with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Fostering Regulations, particularly in relation to assessing and supervision, and support of Reg 24 carers.
  • Good knowledge of the Special Guardianship and Reg 24/Connected Person’s assessment process.
