At Slough Children First, we believe every child and family deserves the right support to live safely, with dignity and opportunity. Our work in children’s safeguarding and social care is demanding but deeply purposeful, driven by a commitment to improving lives and strengthening our community.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist who shares our commitment to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice. Working in line with Slough Children First policies and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ Professional Standards, you will support children, young people and their families to achieve meaningful outcomes and greater independence in their own homes.

In this role, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with service users and carers, listening carefully to their experiences, aspirations and challenges.
  • Carry out holistic assessments, agree clear and realistic goals, and develop practical solutions that promote wellbeing, safety and participation in everyday life.
  • Manage your own caseload, providing professional advice, treatment and advocacy, while working collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies and service providers.
  • Arrange appropriate services and equipment, review progress regularly, and adapt plans to ensure support remains effective, proportionate and respectful of individual circumstances.

We value reflective practice, teamwork and continuous learning. You will contribute to service development, share your professional expertise, take part in supervision and appraisals, and support the development of others where appropriate. High‑quality recording, confidentiality and safeguarding are central to everything we do.

If you are an Occupational Therapist who believes in making a genuine difference and wants to work in a supportive, values‑driven organisation, we would welcome your application. We work on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week based in the office.

In return, we can offer you:

  • Training and development opportunities
  • Agile working supported by technology
  • Flexible working policies
  • Friendly working environment and great colleagues.
