Slough Children First provides children social services within Slough – a borough with the highest proportion of young people in the country and a wide range of strengths and challenges. We are a company wholly owned by Slough Borough Council and run by an effective, small board.

We are looking for a new person to join the board in April when a committed local member reaches the end of their term of office. We need someone with the skills and experience to help lead a complex organisation with turnover of £43m last year and over 350 staff. More importantly, we are looking for someone who cares about improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in Slough. This may be a local resident, someone with lived or family experience of the care system, or expressed in other ways.
