What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a Strategic Asset Officer to support the management and disposal of the Council’s surplus property assets. Working closely with Council services, tenants, occupiers, and agents, you will help maximise income and capital receipts from a varied portfolio including community assets, retail units, office buildings, and investment properties. The role involves managing property disposals and estate casework, supporting strategic service and asset plans, liaising with stakeholders, and providing estate management advice to senior teams. We are looking for someone with experience in estate or asset management, strong negotiation skills, and a commercial approach to property management. Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your director.
