Join our Digital Team as the technical backbone behind digital services that serve 150,000+ Slough residents. You\’ll be the platform expert ensuring robust, accessible infrastructure that enables seamless digital experiences across all council services.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Lead Jadu CMS platform development – maintain and enhance our content management system to ensure optimal performance and user experience
- Build powerful integrations – connect back-office systems using APIs, webhooks, and SSO solutions to automate workflows and improve efficiency
- Drive platform innovation – migrate third-party sites to Jadu Galaxy micro-sites and implement cutting-edge digital solutions
- Ensure accessibility excellence – maintain WCAG compliance, security standards, and GDPR requirements across all digital platforms
- Monitor and optimise performance – manage cloud and on-premises systems, resolve technical issues, and maintain appropriate licensing
- Collaborate on digital transformation – work with service teams to understand requirements and deliver website improvements
- Champion technical excellence – stay current with sector developments and inform procurement of cost-effective innovations
What you\’ll have:
- 3+ years ICT/Digital experience in similar-scale organisations with proven platform development expertise
- Strong CMS experience – hands-on experience with content management systems, particularly Jadu, and web form development
- Integration expertise – practical experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations that enhance workflows
- Technical problem-solving skills – ability to analyse complex technical issues and implement effective solutions collaboratively
- User testing knowledge – understanding of how to conduct research and optimise digital platforms for user experience
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in coding, design standards, or relevant technical discipline
- Platform maintenance expertise – experience monitoring system performance, managing updates, and ensuring compliance standards
- Understanding of digital landscape – awareness of GDS standards, local government digital transformation, and accessibility requirements

Annual increments, performance related, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached.
