We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team delivering commercial and retail construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced environment working across enabling works, strip out, refurbishment and fit-out schemes.
- Prepare accurate estimates, tenders and cost plans for commercial and retail projects.
- Measure quantities from drawings, specifications and site surveys.
- Obtain, review and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare detailed pricing submissions and tender documentation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors during tender stages.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Support handover of successful tenders to delivery and commercial teams.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, access and logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing documents, rates and correspondence.
- Assist with project cost reviews, variations and budget monitoring where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Estimating role within construction.
- Experience within commercial, retail, refurbishment or fit-out sectors desirable.
- Good understanding of drawings, specifications and measurement.
- Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software preferred.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders.
- Ambitious, proactive and eager to progress within the business.
- Must hold a full UK Driving License.
