Company Description
Holroyd Howe are looking for a Head Chef for one of their Surrey based venues. As a Head Chef you will be required to be an ambassador for the brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will not only support the Chef Manager in the day to day running of the venue but also act as a mentor to the brigade.

Job Description
As a Head Chef at MHS, you will be required to be adaptable as the school can be allergen heavy. You will be supporting the Executive Chef to manage the day to day service, whilst leading and mentoring the team to deliver high end events and exceptional quality of food.
Job Type: Monday - Friday, Term time only 37.5 hours contract
Salary: 17.00 p/h
Responsibilities:
- To manage the day to day operation of the kitchen, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
- Assist chef manager create seasonal and bespoke menus for MHS events in line with Clients requirements.
- Supporting the team, training and mentoring all staff and allowing them to grow for the future.
- To monitor on a daily basis the standards achieved in each area and report to the Chef Manager
- To liaise with the Chef Manager on all venue based strategies and activities.
- To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
- Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand.
- Maximising commercial opportunities for the venue and Searcys.
- Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
- Create a professional working environment for the team ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef in Events, Hotels or Restaurants.
- Proven track record of report writing and financial management.
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving and excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices.
