We are seeking compassionate and dedicated community carers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. As a community carer, you will play a vital role in assisting service users with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well‑being. Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to service users, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Companionship
• Prompt/Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Monitor and report any changes in service users’ health or behaviour
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as district nurses, to ensure fully integrated and coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Help service users with accessing local communities, including shopping, attending appointments and activities, days out

Experience

• Previous experience of caring for elderly service users in their own homes
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in medication administration protocols
• Knowledge of safe moving and handling
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
• Relevant social care mandatory training or willing to obtain this
