Role Description
This is a full-time, Senior Commercial Manager role. The Senior Commercial Manager will lead commercial activities across key aerospace and defence programs, including managing customer contracts, negotiating terms and pricing, and overseeing bids and proposals. The role involves developing commercial strategies that support revenue growth and profitability, while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing customer relationships, reviewing and approving commercial documents, supporting project teams with contract interpretation, and mitigating commercial risk. The Senior Commercial Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to align commercial commitments with delivery capability, and will provide commercial leadership, reporting, and forecasting to senior management.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial management experience in aerospace, defence, or advanced manufacturing, including contract negotiation, bid management, and account development.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage complex contracts, frameworks, and long-term agreements, with a solid understanding of commercial risk and mitigation.
- Proficiency in financial and commercial analysis, including pricing, margin management, forecasting, and supporting business cases.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including guiding teams, mentoring colleagues, and influencing decision-making at multiple levels.
