The Opportunity

As Assistant Bar Manager you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of management within the outlet including but not limited to:

  • The consistent delivery of exceptional guest experience, meeting and exceeding our guests expectations.
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
  • Assisting with the control of costs and optimising profits whilst maintaining exceptional standards of service and presentation.
  • Ensuring that the cleanliness of the entire outlet is maintained to a high standard, including all stores, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assisting with rotas and resources in line with payroll budgets and revenue forecasting.
  • Assisting with managing team member attendance, performance management, conduct and training and development supported by HR.
  • Responsible for handling cash and end of day checking.
  • Ensuring an effective and safe working environment is maintained in compliance with appropriate legislation, such as Licensing Laws, Health & Safety, and other statutory requirements.
  • Responsible for promoting and contributing to a harmonious working environment where all team members are valued and treated with respect and dignity.

  • Previous relevant experience within a busy Bar and/or Restaurant outlet.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Previous experience of working across multiple outlets.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Conflict management solution skills.
  • Previous employee relations experience.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Innovative with the ability to influence and implement ideas effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within a hotel environment.
  • Previous experience at Assistant level.
  • Trained mixologist.
