Enjoy helping people and getting to the bottom of a problem?
Want to join a well-established, growing MSP where you're a name, not a number?
Let's have a conversation about your next career move.
Who are we?
Our client is a Managed IT Services provider based in Dinnington, South Yorkshire.
They have been supporting SMEs across Sheffield, Doncaster, Lincoln and the surrounding areas for over 15 years.
They are a team of nine, so you'd be the tenth.
Our client is ISO 9001 certified and hold Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Cyber Assurance.
They are also growing into Managed AI Services with Microsoft Copilot and AI agents, so there's plenty going on and lots of room to develop.
Our client’s helpdesk is the first point of contact for their clients.
That makes this role central to how our clients customers experience, and your contribution really matters.
- What you'll be doing
- Answering calls, emails and tickets from client end users, and logging, prioritising and updating tickets clearly.
- Diagnosing and resolving first-line issues such as password resets, MFA, Outlook and Teams problems, printers, and basic Windows and connectivity faults.
- Microsoft 365 user administration: setting up new starters and leavers, licences, mailboxes, shared mailboxes and permissions.
- Preparing and deploying laptops and desktops, including Intune enrolment, with training provided.
- Escalating more complex issues to the 2nd and 3rd line engineers with good notes, and learning from how they're resolved.
- Keeping client documentation and knowledge base articles accurate and up to date.
- Occasional onsite visits to set up equipment or support users.
- Suggesting ways our client can improve their processes and the service they give their clients. What we're looking for
- Some experience in an IT support or helpdesk role. An apprenticeship, college course or home-lab experience also counts.
- A good grounding in Windows and Microsoft 365, or a keen interest in learning them.
- A basic understanding of networking, such as IP addresses, DHCP, DNS and Wi-Fi.
- Excellent customer service. You're patient, friendly and can explain things clearly to non-technical people.
- Organised, reliable and punctual, with good time-keeping.
- A genuine love of solving problems and a desire to keep learning.
- A full driving licence, for occasional client visits within about an hour of Dinnington. Nice to have (but not essential)
- Comp TIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or similar.
- Experience with a ticketing system or remote support tools.
- Exposure to Intune, Entra ID or Azure. What you'll get
- Hands-on training and a clear path towards 2nd line.
- Support with certifications.
- Exposure to cyber security and AI projects you won't get at most entry-level roles.
- A small, friendly team where your ideas are heard.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
