SLD Recruitment are currently looking for reliable Class 2 (C) HGV Drivers to join our growing team. We work with a wide range of established customers across Nottingham, Derby and South Yorkshire, meaning we can offer a variety of Class 2 driving opportunities to suit different preferences and experience levels. Whether you're looking for ongoing full-time work, regular shifts, temporary work or something to fit around your existing commitments, we'd love to hear from you.
What will you be doing?
- Driving Class 2 rigid HGV vehicles safely and responsibly
- Making local, regional and nationwide deliveries
- Multi-drop deliveries to customers and businesses
- Depot-to-depot deliveries and trunking
- Delivering pallets, cages, stock and general haulage
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Using pump trucks and tail lifts where required
- Completing delivery paperwork and electronic delivery records
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Securing loads safely and correctly
- Communicating professionally with customers and site staff
- Following all relevant road transport, health & safety and company procedures
- Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
