Job Summary: The Technical Sales Engineer will play a critical role in providing technical sales support and driving optimization solutions for SLB’s process equipment and technologies. This position focuses on oil, water, and gas treatment systems at surface facilities and refineries. The role involves conducting audits, identifying optimization opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that enhance production efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality. This is a customer-facing role requiring a strong technical background, excellent client interaction skills, and the ability to travel extensively within Europe.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide qualified technical sales support to the sales team for marketing and sales activities, as well as to operations for technical support as required.
- Interact with customers and sales representatives to understand customer needs and product applications.
- Evaluate customer support issues and maintain a positive perception of SLB’s support structure.
- Prepare technical samples, designs, and presentations to provide supportive technical data tailored to customer needs.
- Participate in sales support-related conferences, trade shows, workshops, and meetings to stay updated on industry developments.
- Conduct facility performance audits across crude oil, gas, water, and sand management systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and digital solutions) to design cost-effective optimization roadmaps.
- Support technical sales activities by preparing customized proposals, technical clarifications, and solution strategies aligned with client needs and industry standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of refineries or oil and gas plants.
- Strong technical knowledge of produced water treatment, crude desalting, and gas dehydration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficient English communication and report-writing skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, with up to 50% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field or offshore experience with process equipment is highly valued.
- Strong client-facing skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to help clients.
- Familiarity with separation technologies and process equipment.
- Sales experience is not mandatory but is considered a plus.
