Job Summary
The Health, Safety, Environment & Operations Integrity (HSE & OI) Communications Senior Specialist plays a key role within the Performance unit, working as part of a small high-impact team responsible for shaping how SLB communicates one of its most critical priorities: protecting people, strengthening operational performance and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
This role supports the development and execution of modern communication strategies that clearly articulate the HSE & OI narratives, drive engagement, and showcase SLB’s performance, innovation and leadership across the energy industry.
You’ll partner closely with HSE & OI leadership and global communications teams to translate complex technical topics — safety, risk, performance, compliance — into clear, compelling and human-centered content that resonates with employees and external stakeholders.
The role requires strong storytelling skills and the ability to connect functional priorities with broader company strategy, industry trends and real-world impact. Because the team is small and highly specialized, the role demands a high degree of autonomy, confidence, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with senior HSE & OI leadership.

- Strategy & planning
- Develop and execute communications strategies for Health, Safety, Environment & Operations Integrity, aligned with SLB’s overall business priorities and strategic narrative.
- Support major HSE & OI initiatives and campaigns, including safety culture, operational performance, sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with global communications teams to build and maintain an integrated editorial calendar.
- Content & storytelling
- Create clear, engaging content that simplifies complex technical topics and connects them to real world impact.
- Translate HSE & OI priorities (safety performance, risk management, compliance, operational excellence) into compelling stories for internal and external audiences.
- Develop thought leadership and innovation stories that position SLB as a leader in safe, high-performance operations.
- Campaigns & channels
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across owned, earned, shared and paid platforms.
- Continuously improve communication channels (intranet, email, digital signage, webcasts, social) to increase reach and engagement.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, on-brand and aligned with SLB’s corporate narrative.
- Measurement & impact
- Track and analyze communication effectiveness (open rates, engagement, click-through rates and other key metrics).
- Use insights to refine content, improve performance and inform future campaigns.
- Collaboration & alignment
- Partner with Executive, Internal, External, Brand, Division and Regional Communications teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Work closely with HSE & OI executive leaders and subject matter experts to ensure accurate, timely and impactful messaging.
- Ensure alignment with SLB brand standards and corporate messaging.
