Job Summary
Complete all tasks required to produce barite safely and efficiently from our underground drill and blast barite mining operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance Duties: Work to mine plans to safely achieve production targets. Monitor ground conditions and perform any necessary rectification work. Perform equipment checks and use in a competent manner. Install ground support. Safe application of explosives. Extension of mine ventilation system.
- Operational Duties: Complete all operations required for the production cycle, including drilling, blasting, loading trucks, operating trucks, and post-blast safety checks. Complete all operations required for production support, including extension and relocation of compressed air, electrical power and ventilation systems; installation of additional ground support; maintenance of mine roadways; maintenance of mine water pumping systems; adhere to SLB policies.
