Job Summary:
Complete all tasks required to produce barite safely and efficiently from our underground drill and blast barite mining operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Duties:
- Work to mine plans to safely achieve production targets.
- Monitor ground conditions and perform any necessary rectification work.
- Perform equipment checks and use in a competent manner.
- Install ground support.
- Safe application of explosives.
- Extension of mine ventilation system
Operational Duties:
- Complete all operations required for the production cycle:-
- Drilling
- Blasting
- Loading trucks
- Operating trucks
- Post blast safety checks
- Complete all operations required for production support:-
- Extension and relocation of, compressed air, electrical power and ventilations systems
- Installation of additional ground support
- Maintenance of mine roadways
- Maintenance of mine water pumping systems
- Adhere to SLB policies.
