Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, proactive, and self-motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to join our team at the London HQ. This internship is an exciting opportunity to leave your mark, contribute fresh ideas, and help shape the way we communicate and market our integrated energy solutions. You will support the marketing and communications function, working closely with subject matter experts, designers, and the wider team to develop engaging content and support strategic marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for recent graduates or students specializing in marketing, communications, graphic design, or with a creative/artistic background.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the end-to-end creation of marketing materials for integrated drilling and production offerings, including presentations, videos, case studies, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and marketing communications (marcom) teams to develop and refine narratives that resonate with global customers.
  • Assist in market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies and content.
  • Contribute creative ideas and challenge existing processes to help refresh and innovate our marketing approach.
  • Ensure visual and thematic alignment of all assets, working closely with designers and editors to maintain brand integrity.
  • Help manage and update multi-channel marketing assets, ensuring accessibility and consistency across platforms.
  • Participate in the development of thought leadership content, such as success stories and case studies, to build SLB’s credibility and brand recognition.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of the Elevate360 platform, our central repository for external marketing assets.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support the timely delivery of strategic marketing projects.
  • Take initiative and work independently, especially during periods when direct supervision may be limited.

Essential Skills and Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related creative/artistic field.
  • Strong creative thinking and willingness to propose and implement new ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and content creation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct market research and synthesize findings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to relocate to London for the duration of the internship (relocation support to be confirmed with HR).
  • Fluency in English.
