Job Summary: Graduate Geosolutions Geophysicists play a critical role in successfully executing projects and problem-solving. They are responsible for maintaining quality control and assurance to enhance the overall quality of the product and ensure customer satisfaction. By processing and imaging seismic data, they generate high-definition representations of the subsurface. In addition, they work collaboratively with geologists and reservoir characterization experts to ensure seamless integration of their findings. The Graduate Geosolutions Geophysicist's expertise is invaluable in the exploration and development of natural resources.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.
- Process data using the appropriate technology and software.
- Ensure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.
- Define, build and submit test jobs, interpret test results, provide recommendations on parameters and recommend further testing, if required.
- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
- Keep abreast of developments within seismic data processing and communication and data transfer techniques.
- Investigate and report on problems encountered during the course of seismic data processing.
- Forecast resource requirements and report project status.
- Archive projects.
Essential Requirements:
- We are seeking candidates for an entry-level position or individuals with less than three years of relevant experience.
- BSc, MSc or PhD in Geophysics or Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent geoscience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Quick learner who can use logic to solve problems.
- Be personally committed to continuous improvement.
- Evidence of leadership and teamwork skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
