Job Summary: The Intern Editor / Copywriting Intern will support the creation of high-quality written content for internal and external communication channels where Digital is present, helping promote the division’s technologies and services to the global energy market. Working closely with the marketing and communications team, this role will contribute to the production, coordination, and delivery of a range of marketing materials, while learning and applying best-practice marketing techniques. The intern will help ensure that the voice of Digital remains fresh, engaging, and aligned with the wider SLB brand. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong writing skills and a willingness to learn, with the ability to adapt their style across different formats from short, engaging social media content to longer-form articles and publications. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional, fast-paced environment, with mentoring and development opportunities throughout the internship.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the drafting of marketing and public relations content, including social media posts, brochures, web content, advertising materials, press releases, and other communications.
  • Proofread and review content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers and video/podcast producers to help ensure messages are clear, engaging, and aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Gather and document briefs from stakeholders to support content development.
  • Work with project managers and internal requesters to help shape messages and draft content.
  • Support the production of final copy for internal and external channels, based on technical drafts, notes, and stakeholder input.
  • Participate in relevant events when appropriate, to support content creation and communications activities.
  • Provide general support for Digital communications, including assisting with writing and editing for executive presentations, customer materials, and global webcasts.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recent bachelor’s or master’s degree graduate in Communications, Journalism, English Literature/Language, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, Digital Media, Corporate Communications, or Business with a Marketing specialization.
  • Valid right to work status in the UK for the whole duration of the Internship.
