Location: Minerva, Crawley

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration of the internship: 12 months

Job Summary: Support HSE activities including inspections, audits, risk assessments, and documentation updates. Assist with HSE training coordination and compliance tracking. Support facilities management activities, including contractor supervision and work quality checks. Assist with data collection, reporting, and system updates (Quest, HSE records, etc.). Provide on-site operational support for day-to-day facility issues.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Understand HSE roles, support the location with supervision, fully understand SLB HSE system.
  • Develop and implement SLB HSE policies and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness sessions for Minerva team members.
  • Investigate incidents, compile reports, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with SLB HSE standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of HSE principles and UK safety regulations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master in an Engineering discipline, Business Management or Occupational Health.
  • A qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, minimum standard of NEBOSH General Certificate is a plus.
  • Understanding of risk assessments, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
  • Awareness of facilities management operations and contractor safety.
  • Ability to support inspections, audits, and compliance tracking.
  • Basic understanding of incident reporting and investigations.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain accurate HSE and facilities documentation.
  • Basic awareness of fire safety and emergency procedures.
  • Valid right to work status in the UK is required for the whole duration of this assignment.
