Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications Intern to join our team in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a global organisation, supporting primarily internal communications across Europe and Africa. The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of engaging content, assist with ongoing communications campaigns, and contribute to storytelling across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone with strong writing skills, a proactive mindset, and an interest in corporate communications within a fast‑paced, global environment.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Draft internal communications content, including intranet articles, stories, and Viva Engage posts.
  • Support the development of the bi‑weekly newsletter, including gathering information, drafting content, and preparing layouts.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across geo‑units to collect updates and information for communications outputs and thought leadership content.
  • Create basic design assets using Canva for internal campaigns.
  • Assist with simple filming and video tasks.
  • Contribute to ongoing communications campaigns, including a 100 years campaign and other regional initiatives.
  • Maintain organised filing systems on Teams and shared drives, ensuring images are stored correctly for future reference.
  • Support evaluation of communications performance, including open rates, click‑through rates, and engagement metrics.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree or postgraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, or related field.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently when required.
  • Comfortable working in a large, global organisation and adapting to a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good organisational skills, particularly in managing and filing information correctly.
  • Availability to start between May and June.
  • Ability to commute to the London office.
  • Valid right to work status in the UK for the duration of the internship.
