Job Summary
Complete all tasks required to produce barite safely and efficiently from our underground drill and blast barite mining operation. Working hours are 45 hours per week, 9 hours a day (Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance Duties: Work to mine plans to safely achieve production targets. Monitor ground conditions and perform any necessary rectification work. Perform equipment checks and use in a competent manner. Install ground support. Safe application of explosives. Extension of mine ventilation system.
- Operational Duties: Complete all operations required for the production cycle: Drilling, Blasting, Loading trucks, Operating trucks, Post blast safety checks. Complete all operations required for production support: Extension and relocation of compressed air, electrical power and ventilation systems, Installation of additional ground support, Maintenance of mine roadways, Maintenance of mine water pumping systems. Adhere to SLB policies.
